Linux for Beginners

Description

Overview

Linux for Beginners is a technical skills course designed to introduce new users to the Linux operating system. This course is intended for users who are interested in learning about Linux, but have no previous exposure to the operating system. The series starts with a description of Linux and its history and then moves on to cover the graphical user interface and basic operations of the OS.

Objectives

The purpose of this course is to give you competency as a beginning user of Unix.
Prerequisites

All candidate must have a little understanding of computers and the passion to learn new technology.
Target Audience

Anyone with a desire to learn about Linux.
People that have Linux experience, but would like to learn about the Linux command line interface.
Existing Linux users that want to become power users.
